scripts & code
I have noticed a distinct lack of programs that do what is required without wasting a million megs on fancy bollocks. Everything ends up pre-constituted with enough eye candy to mask the simplicity of the task being accomplished. You have to end up writing your own from scratch because there simply isn't an elegant and streamlined base to build up from, and DIY is quicker than peeling away the layers of karmic feedback and globally switchable smiley packs from the best the web has to offer. Of course, I could just be cynical and not looking very hard.
So, here are some of the more coherent things I have lying about. You should be able to follow what is going on with some level of programming knowledge, and a suitable contempt for quiche. Looking at other peoples code is a great way to learn, unless they are chaotic, sloppy and write absolute crap...
Things are split into the programming language used, and vaguely what they 'are'. Projects are (probably) fully functional suites of goodness, apps are standalone programs ready to use, and functions are supposedly useful bits and bobs to drop into your own code. Finally, tutorials are general rants about how shit something is, but how to work around it.
You should be free to use these however you want so long as it's in the presence of a responsible adult and you have planned your most effective escape route in case of fire or acts of terrorism. Crediting me would be nice, and is already done most beautifully in some of the complete scripts for your convenience. Until I invent a web-interface for nuclear death showers I have no way to enforce this - so it's up to you to be a good person, yah?
